Samantha Beattie has joined CBC Toronto as a reporter covering city issues, the pandemic and other stories for digital and radio.
She joins from HuffPost Canada where she was a senior reporter. She has also worked as a reporter at Toronto Star and was a reporter and photographer at Metroland Media Group.
She was also a senior writer and video coordinator at the University of Guelph.
Beattie is a B.A. in international development from the University of Guelph and holds a postgraduate diploma in journalism new media from Sheridan College.
