Capital B Atlanta makes two new hires

Capital B Atlanta has hired Kenya Hunter as a health reporter and Sydney Sims as a general assignment reporter.

Hunter joins from the Richmond Times-Dispatch, where she worked as an education reporter. She was also a general assignment reporter at Rome News-Tribune in Georgia and a news reporter at WERS 88.9 FM, Emerson College’s radio station in Boston. Hunter has a M.A. in journalism from Emerson College.

Sims has been working as a breaking news reporter for the Ledger-Inquirer at McClatchy. She was an intern at Heritage Radio Network in Brooklyn, New York and has worked freelance for The Auburn Plainsman, the student paper affiliated with Auburn University. Sims graduated from Auburn University with a degree in journalism.

Capital B Atlanta is a local and national nonprofit news organization reporting for Black communities across the country.
