Sarah Mimms, a politics reporter at BuzzFeed News is leaving as she plans on taking the buyout offered by the company. Mimms joined BuzzFeed as D.C. editor in 2016.
Previously, Mimms served as U.S. politics editor at Vice News and was a staff correspondent at the National Journal, where she covered the Senate, and at National Journal Hotline, where she wrote and edited.
She has also worked at the Washington Post Express.
Mimms graduated from Georgetown University.
