Buying Business Travel, a London-based leading provider of news and features geared toward corporate travel buyers, has been named a finalist across three categories at this year’s Travel Media Awards.
The categories are “Trade Publication of the Year – Online” and “Trade Publication of the Year – Print”, while BBT contributor Megan Tatum has been shortlisted as “Trade Writer of the Year” for her work across topics ranging from mental health to sustainability and CSRCorporate Social Responsibility: A concept whereby companies and organizations form policies for the good of society.
An organizer said there were more than 900 entries across the 20 award categories, which is a record amount in the event’s five-year history.
The awards take place on Oct. 21 at the Landmark Hotel in London, and reward editorial quality and excellence, covering a range of media disciplines. The categories are judged by a unique combination of travel industry professionals and media peers.
The nominations follow a busy year for BBT, which last September unveiled a major magazine redesign, while in May this year a new website was launched.
