Bustle Group’s Nylon names McCarthy EIC

Bustle Digital Group-owned Nylon Magazine has promoted executive editor Lauren McCarthy to the post of editor-in-chief.

In her new role, McCarthy will report to Charlotte Owen, Bustle and Elite Daily and Bustle Digital Group’s SVP of editorial strategy.

Previously, she worked at Condé Nast, where she held the posts of digital fashion news editor, digital style editor, senior features editor and digital features director at W Magazine. She also served as fashion news/features editor at Harper’s Bazaar.

She also served as a fashion assistant, editorial assistant and accessories news editor at Condé Nast’s Women’s Wear Daily, where she also interned.

She also interned at the Philadelphia Magazine and Seventeen Magazine.

McCarthy has a B.A. from Villanova University in Pennsylvania.
