The Associated Press has hired Emma Burrows as a Russia and Commonwealth of Independent States reporter. Recently, she was a news editor at ITN.
A former AP news assistant, Burrows has worked as a field producer in Russia at CNN and as a Moscow correspondent at Deutsche Welle. She was also a multimedia producer at Channel 4 and has worked as a journalist at ITV. She freelanced for the BBC.
Burrows has a B.A. from the University of Bristol and a postgraduate diploma from Cardiff University in Wales.
