Mike Connelly, seventh editor of The Buffalo News will retire next month. He had served in this post for the past nine-plus years.
Prior to joining the Buffalo News, Connelly was executive editor of the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He has also worked at Congressional Quarterly for six years, where he held the posts of VP/product development and VP/operations.
He was also a regional editor at The Baltimore Sun and was a metro editor and executive business editor at St. Paul Pioneer Press. He was also Chicago deputy bureau chief at The Wall Street Journal.
Connelly has a B.A. in journalism and political science from the University of Iowa.
