San Diego Magazine has tapped Jackie Bryant as managing editor.
In this role, she will be writing about cannabis and other local topics. She will also be overseeing staff copy and freelancers.
Bryant has recently been working as a freelancer, focusing on the cannabis beat, which includes cannabis business, culture, criminal justice, science, product and consumer information, policy and other topics.
She has also previously covered travel, food, culture/lifestyle topics and labor. Her work has appeared in Forbes, San Diego Union-Tribune, MJBizDaily, SF Chronicle, SF Gate, Thrillist, Eater San Diego and USA Today, among many others.
She has also reported for Bisnow, a B2B commercial real estate news media company. She has also edited for Luxury Living International, a digital publication covering luxury travel in the Americas.
Bryant graduated from Connecticut College.
