Elizabeth Bruenig is leaving The New York Times Opinion, where she held the post of opinion writer, for The Atlantic. There, she will be a staff writer doing longform on the Ideas team.
Bruenig’s departure marks the third Times opinion journalist to go to The Atlantic in the last five months, reports Politico.
Bruenig has also worked as an opinion columnist at The Washington Post and was also an editor for the Post’s Outlook and PostEverything sections. She has also served as a staff writer at The New Republic.
Her work has been featured in The Post, The Nation, The Atlantic, The Boston Review, Jacobin Magazine, First Things, and many more.
Bruenig is a graduate of the University of Cambridge.
