Education Week has appointed Daniela Franco Brown to the post of assistant managing editor. Previously, she was an equity and education editor at The Indy Star.
Brown also worked in editorial at theSkimm and was a features editor at The Desert Sun in Palm Springs, Calif. She also wrote for NBC News, The New York Times Student Journalism Institute and TakePart.com.
Brown graduated from New York University.
