Brown departs USA Today for the Washington Post

Matthew Brown

Matthew Brown has joined The Washington Post as a Georgia-based reporter for The Post’s Democracy team. In his new role, Brown will be covering voting, election security, misinformation, public trust and national politics.

He begins March 28.

Brown joins from USA Today, where he has worked as a fact-check reporter, and recently as a White House reporter. He has also interned at Politico and the New York Amsterdam News.

Brown graduated from Dartmouth College.
