Prior to joining the Globe, she was digital and audience engagement editor at the Nieman Foundation for Journalism at Harvard University, where she handled its digital strategy. She served as a digital editor at The Kansas City Star and was a digital content producer at Newsy.
She covered technology, apps and daily news stories for Gawker and served as an online editor at the Omaha World-Herald.
Becerra graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
