The Boston Globe has tapped James Dao as editorial page editor leading the Globe’s Opinion team. He begins July 5.
Currently, Dao is a metro editor at The New York Times. He joined the Times nearly 30 years ago and since then,has held various roles, including Albany correspondent and bureau chief, Washington correspondent, national correspondent and deputy metropolitan editor.
He previously served as deputy national editor and oversaw the Op-Ed page, Sunday Review and international Op-Ed pages as an Op-Ed editor. He was also recently an education editor.
Dao is a Yale University graduate.
