The Charlotte Observer has tapped Josh Bergeron as a local news editor. He joins from the Salisbury Post in Salisbury, North Carolina, where he was an editor.
Before that, he was managing editor of The State Journal in Frankfort, Kentucky. He previously also worked at the Salisbury Post from August 2014 to October 2017 as a county government/politics reporter and then as an associate editor.
He has also written for Selma Times-Journal in Selma, Alabama, and has reported for The Natchez Democrat in Natchez, Mississippi.
Bergeron is a Louisiana State University graduate.
