Bennett joins The Atlantic as senior editor

The Atlantic has hired Laura Bennett as a senior editor focusing on the magazine’s feature writing. For the past 7 years, she has been at Slate Magazine, where she was an editorial director.

Before that, she served as a senior editor, culture editor and features director at Slate. She has also worked as an assistant literary editor and then as a staff writer at The New Republic. She was also an intern at The Boston Globe.

Bennett is a Yale University graduate.
