Bénichou joins Washington Post as creative technologist

Lo Bénichou is now a creative technologist at The Washington Post specializing in experimental storytelling.

In this new role, Bénichou will be part of a team focused on new ways to incorporate emerging technologies, including 5G and spatial computing, into the newsroom and to engage The Post’s global audiences.

Previously, Bénichou worked at CalMatters as data visualization reporter. Bénichou was also with Mapbox for more than 2 years, working as an interactive developer and brand advocate.

Bénichou has also served as a front-end engineer at Wired and has held the posts of interactive web developer and part-time front-end developer at Youth Radio and The Litography Project, respectively,

Bénichou also freelanced as a multimedia journalist, producer and interactive news developer and earlier interned at The Kitchen Sisters and KQED.

Bénichou graduated from the University of California at Berkeley with a Bachelor’s degree in political science and history.
