Behrens swaps Athens News for the Dispatch

Cole Behrens

The Columbus Dispatch welcomes back Cole Behrens to cover breaking news and public safety. Behrens previously interned at the Dispatch in 2020.

Behrens joins from the Ohio-based Athens News, where he was an associate editor. He also held the same post at The Athens Messenger, and interned at The Cincinnati Enquirer and The Athens News.

Behrens graduated from Ohio University with a bachelor’s degree in journalism.
