Toby Castle, deputy news editor at BBC News, is set to depart after more than nine years. He wrote on X/Twitter:
“I’m leaving the @BBC after 9 years and off to @FCDOGovUK as Head of News & Press Secretary to Foreign Sec. Start later this year and leave with nothing but good feelings for @BBCNews. Grateful for a fresh opportunity and can’t wait to get stuck in.”
Previously, Castle led ITV News’ multi-award winning home news operation as head of home news.
Castle graduated from Dundee University in Scotland and is a multi-award winning news professional.
