BBC News has appointed Nazia Mogra deputy managing editor for the North West and North East. She will work across TV, radio, online and digital.
Recently, Mogra served as a newsround senior presenter and producer. She joined the BBC as a radio producer and has also held the posts of presenter, producer and news editor for BBC News 1, 6 and 10, sports, news channel and BBC World.
She also served as a news editor and senior leadership team advisor.
Mogra has a B.A. from Edge Hill University in England.
