BBC News has appointed Gail Champion as an investigations editor. Recently, she worked on the UK Insight team.
Commenting on her appointment, Champion said:

“I am looking forward to working with the BBC’s talented local teams around the country to harness their unique abilities and regional knowledge to investigate the stories that really matter to people wherever they live.”
Previously, she has worked as a senior producer, assistant editor and editor at BBC News.
Champion graduated from the University of Reading.
