BBC has tapped Chris Bindley to serve as editor to lead its North West England local news team.
Bindley held various roles at the BBC including assistant editor, senior broadcast journalist, producer and sports news reader.
Bindley graduated from Sheffield Hallam University in Sheffield, England.
