The New York Times has hired Eliza Barclay to lead climate coverage for Times Opinion. She has recently been working as a senior editor for science, health and climate at Vox.com.
Before that, she was a reporter/editor, food, health and science at NPR.
She has also contributed to The Washington Post, The New York Times, The Atlantic, Foreign Policy, BusinessWeek, National Geographic News, PRI’s The World, NPR’s LatinoUSA, Slate, The Christian Science Monitor and The New Republic among others.
She has also worked freelance for the Houston Chronicle, Fortune, Wired and the San Francisco Chronicle.
Barclay holds degrees from the University of California, Berkeley and Johns Hopkins.
