The Washington Post has hired Jillian Banner as a social video producer for the Next Gen politics team. Banner joined from the Poynter Institute, where she served as a video producer and editor for PolitiFact.
Before that, she was an assistant editor for video strategy and a video fellow at The Atlantic, where she produced, shot, and edited short documentaries.
Banner graduated from Carleton College in Northfield, Minn.
