Lyle Banks has been named vice president and general manager of WISC, the CBS affiliate in Madison, Wisconsin.
In this role, Banks will oversee television, digital and magazine operations at the company flagship in Madison.

Previously, Banks was vice president and general manager, WGCL-TV, the CBS affiliate in Atlanta.
He has also worked at the Association of Interim Executives, a team comprised of an elite group of interim, project and fractional executives (CEO, CFO, COO, CMO, CIO, CSO) who have been selected due to their track record bringing extraordinary results to companies.
Banks was also board member, chair of strategic planning and marketing, interim executive at Swedish Covenant Hospital. He has also served as president, U.S.A., at Lanterna Medical Technologies U.S.A. Inc.
He was also president and chief executive officer at both ICStories, LLC and Banks Broadcasting Inc. He also held the post of executive director and owner at Idaho International Film Festival.
He was also a TV board member for 6 years at National Association of Broadcasters. He was also president and general manager at NBC Universal, Inc.
Banks has also worked at LIN Media for more than 12 years, holding several posts, including national and local sales manager/KXAS-TV, general sales manager/KXAN-TV and president and general manager/WAVY-TV.
Banks is a B.A. in economics from Carleton College.
