Jessica Calefati will join the Baltimore Banner as an education enterprise reporter with a special focus on Johns Hopkins University.
Recently, Caelfati served as an education reporter at Politico. Before that, she was an investigative reporter at the Philadelphia Inquirer. She has also covered K12 and higher education in California for CALMatters. She was also a correspondent at The Mercury News in San Jose.
Calefati has also reported for the Newark Star-Ledger, U.S. News & World Report and the Record-Journal in Southington, Conn. She was also a fellow at Mother Jones.
Calefati has a B.A. in journalism and political science from The George Washington University.
