KPMG LLP has presented award-winning broadcast journalist Robin Roberts, long-time co-anchor of ABC’s “Good Morning America,” with the 2020 KPMG Inspire Greatness Award.
The award honoree is an industry visionary who has exemplified a personal commitment to the community to empower future generations of women, and who recognizes golf as a relationship development tool.
“It is an honor to receive the KPMG Inspire Greatness Award,” said Roberts. “For me, life is not so much what you accomplish, but what you overcome. I believe patience and persistence are keys to thriving in the midst of adversity.”
Roberts was also a keynote speaker at the event.
Roberts was also a contributor and anchor at ESPN for 15 years. She also worked as a sports reporter and anchor at WAGA-TV in Atlanta and was a morning personality on WVEE-FM, Atlanta’s top-rated morning show.
She has also worked as a sports anchor and reporter for WSMV-TV in Nashville where she won the “Nashville Scene” Sportscaster of the Year Award in 1987.
Roberts has also worked at WLOX-TV as sports anchor and reporter. She also held the same posts at WDAM-TV.
Additionally, she has also served as sports director at WHMD/WFPR Radio and was a special assignment sports reporter for KSLU-FM.
