Atmos Magazine journalist Funes set to depart

Yessenia Funes

Yessenia Funes, climate director and climate editor at Atmos Magazine ,will leave in April. Her tweet reads:

“There’s no new project or job to announce. I’m leaving to focus on my writing and get back to my reporting roots. I’m very open to new full-time job opportunities as a WRITER :) please don’t reach out with editor jobs.”

Funes freelanced for Vogue, The Guardian, HuffPost, Rewire and Grist.

She was a senior staff writer at G/O Media and was an assistant editor at Yes! Magazine.

Funes graduated from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh. Connect with Funes on LinkedIn.
