The Associated Press has tapped James Jordan as news director for Europe and Africa, based in the London bureau. He recently served as deputy news director for Europe.
Prior to joining the Associated Press as executive producer for global video in 2016, Jordan was at ITN, where he worked as a news editor, deputy head of home news and head of UK news gathering. He has also held editorial roles at News Corp and Sky News.
Jordan also served as news editor – Asia Pacific at Al Jazeera English and has also reported for the Evening Chronicle in Newcastle, UK.
Jordan graduated from the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne.
