Volmert comes from The Dallas Morning News, where she worked as a breaking news reporter. She held the posts of associate news editor and assistant managing editor at The Observer, part of Notre Dame and Saint Mary’s. She was also a news reporter at South Bend Tribune.
Volmert has a bachelor’s degree in English language and literature/letters from the University of Notre Dame.
