Metro has appointed Deborah Arthurs as its new editor in chief. Her appointment comes following the departure of Ted Young, who had been with the paper for more than eight years.
Young’s departure comes as the daily battles economic hardships and the print and online Metro products come under Arthurs’ helm.
Arthurs joined Metro in March 2014 as editor. Before that, she was a femail editor at MailOnline.
She freelanced and was an assistant features editor at London Lite. She also wrote for the Daily Mail’s lifestyle section.
Arthurs graduated from King’s College London.
Be sure to congratulate Arthurs on Twitter.
