Phil Reed has been named co-anchor for the Fort Smith-Fayetteville, Ark. ABC affiliate KHBS-KHOG weekday morning newscast.
Reed joins anchor Yuna Lee, and weather anchor Majestic Stormweekdays from 4:30 to 7 a.m. on 40/29 and 7 to 8 a.m. on sister station The Arkansas CW.
He’s worked at the station since August 2022 as an anchor-reporter.
“Phil’s energy and personality will be a great addition to the weekday morning anchor desk,” said news director, Colleen Clement. “Phil’s willingness to go the extra mile stands out, and I’m confident he’ll bring that same commitment to Sunrise.”
Reed is originally from Chicago and graduated from Northern Illinois University with a degree in Journalism.
Before KHBS-KHOG, Reed worked at KCRG in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He’s also reported at WTVO-WQRF in Rockford, Ill.
