John D’Orlando, president and publisher of the Arizona Daily Star, has left after more than five years to join Wick Communications as chief operating officer.
In his new role, D’Orlando will oversee additional support and oversight to operations, transformative projects and financial execution.
Previously, he served as VP and advertising director of the Orlando Sentinel Media Group.
Commenting on his appointment, D’Orlando said:

“I look forward to contributing to the future growth of Wick and working closely with its outstanding team of passionate, dedicated local community leaders and experts.”
D’Orlando graduated from Buffalo State University.
