The Associated Press has tapped Mike Balsamo to serve as U.S. law enforcement news editor. Recently, he was a lead reporter covering the Justice Department and federal law enforcement.
Balsamo has been with the AP for more than eight years. Previously, he covered the federal and local law enforcement in Los Angeles and across Southern California.
Balsamo graduated from St. John’s University.
