The Associated Press has appointed Mallika Sen entertainment news editor, based in New York. Sen begins Oct. 3.
An excerpt from the announcement reads:
“Mallika has had several roles at the AP, most recently on the East regional desk, where she’s handled numerous major breaking stories. Mallika’s earlier stint on the U.S. overnight shift meant she frequently filed Entertainment copy, and some of you have already worked with her on stories. Her role will go beyond text, working with our video and photo teams on stories as well, and planning coverage of numerous NY events, including many of our biggest ones: Met Gala, Tony Awards, Fashion Weeks and more.”
Previously, she interned at BBC News.
Sen graduated from Georgetown University.
