Indira Lakshmanan has joined The Associated Press as global enterprise editor. An award-winning journalist, she has reported from more than 80 countries.
Recently, Lakshmanan served as senior executive editor and VP of news and features at National Geographic. She freelanced for WAMU-FM 88.5 and was executive editor of the Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting.
She was a Washington columnist at The Boston Globe and served as Newmark chair in journalism ethics at The Poynter Institute.
She contributed to Politico and was a guest host for NPR and WBUR’s Here & Now. She also worked at Bloomberg for eight years.
Lakshmanan graduated from Harvard University.
