Alabaster departs the Independent for the Times

Olivia Alabaster

Olivia Alabaster has joined The Times in London as an assistant news editor. Recently, she was a news editor at The Independent. Before that, she served as an international editor and deputy international editor.

She was also a news editor at Middle East Eye in London and has worked freelance for various online and print publications. She also served as sub-editor, reporter, assistant region editor and region editor at The Daily Star, Lebanon’s leading English newspaper.

Alabaster has a M.A. in newspaper journalism from City, University of London.
