Al-Shatti departs The Athletic

Shaun Al-Shatti

Shaun Al-Shatti, a senior writer at The Athletic is leaving the organization.

Al-Shatti has been with The Athletic for 2 years and was a founding member of the senior staff for The Athletic’s new mixed martial arts vertical. He was also a writer of longform features, a reporter, and podcast host.

He has also worked as a senior editor and deputy features editor at MMA Fighting and was a columnist at SB Nation Arizona. He was also a news editor at MMA Nation and a newsroom editor at SB Nation.

He also served as a marketing intern at Keppler Speakers.

Al-Shatti is a graduate of Arizona State University.
