Akass swaps BBC for Sky News

Amanda Akass

Sky News has named Amanda Akass as a politics and business correspondent, working on “The Early Rundown,” a breakfast program that rounds up major morning headlines.

Akass worked as a reporter at BBC News for BBC South East Today. She has held various other posts at the BBC, including broadcast journalist, breakfast program producer and political editor.

She has previously also served as a senior broadcast journalist – reporter and newsreader, as well as a news producer and reporter for weekends at Global Radio. She was also a broadcast journalist at Radio Jackie in London.

Akass is a University of Cambridge graduate.
