Emily Wind has joined Guardian Australia as a casual reporter. Wind was a journalist covering health and features at The Daily Advertiser in Wagga, Australia.
She was a cadet journalist and journalist at the Tumut and Adelong Times in Tumut, New South Wales. She was a writer/editor and then served as deputy managing editor at University of Newcastle’s student-run publication Yak Media.
Wind has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Newcastle and is pursuing a master’s degree from Macquarie University.
