The Washington Post’s journalism was honored as “Top 10 Works of Journalism of the Decade” by the New York University’s Arthur L. Carter Journalism Institute, an honor which recognizes nonfiction works on current events that appeared from Jan. 1, 2010 to Dec. 31, 2019.

Mitchell Stephens, professor at the Carter Journalism Institute, who oversaw the selection process, said:

“The extraordinary work we are honoring—as the best not just of one year and not just in one kind of journalism—reflect important changes in journalism and in society in the past 10 years.”

The top 10 were selected from more than 120 nominations.
