Annah Aschbrenner will join The Washington Post as Congress editor to steer Capitol Hill coverage. She begins June 6.
Annah joins from USA Today, where she oversaw White House, Congress and national politics coverage. There, she also held the post of 2020 election editor. She was previously at the Des Moines Register, where she worked as a breaking news editor, politics content strategist and news director.
She began her career as a news clerk at the Muskegon Chronicle in Michigan.
Aschbrenner graduated from Michigan State University and was named one of Editor and Publisher’s 25 Under 35 in 2017.
