Time Magazine has hired Armani Syed as a reporter to cover world affairs across a number of general beats, with particular focus on furthering the publication’s coverage of global culture including literature, film, art and music globally.
Syed was a junior lifestyle reporter at Insider, where she previously was a fellow. She served as editor-in-chief of Mesa Magazine, a platform for Middle Eastern and South Asian creatives.
Syed freelanced for Stylist, Refinery29 and HuffPost and interned at Newsquest, The Sunday Times, and Favour Up Limited.
Syed graduated from the University of Warwick in Coventry, UK, where she also worked at the student newspaper, The Boar.
