The New York Times has promoted Adam Sternbergh to the post of deputy editor for narrative projects. Previously, he was serving as acting deputy editor, managing projects requiring collaboration.
Sternbergh previously worked as editor of the Toronto Life magazine and as a national columnist for the National Post. He later joined New York Magazine, where he held the post of editor-at-large.
Sternbergh left the magazine in 2011 and joined the New York Times Magazine as a culture editor. He has also edited various award-winning pieces in this career and has written four novels.
Sternbergh graduated from McGill University in Toronto.
