Avery Keatley, a producer for NPR’s Morning Edition and Up First podcast has left. A part of her Tweet reads:

“So, what’s next? The answer is a little complicated. My life centers around goals. I set daily, weekly, monthly, goals. And then there are the years-long goals — the dreams. During the pandemic, I felt unmoored and adrift… unable to do anything but move with the current, unable to plan for the future, unable to dream.

So for now, I’m taking a little bit of time for myself, to chase away the fog, to dream, to figure out where to place my next steps.”

Previously, she wrote, reported and edited stories as assigned for the University of Pittsburgh’s Graduate School of Public and International Affairs’ (GSPIA) annual publication, GSPIA Perspectives.

Keatley holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Pittsburgh.
