Alan Rusbridger, the former long-time editor of The Guardian will talk about his latest book, “News and How to Use It” at the Canadian Journalism Foundation’s J-Talks Live webcast.
The event is scheduled for Wednesday, March 3 at 1 p.m. EST.
In the book, he talks about the chaotic media landscape, examines the way journalism is produced and consumed, and offers a user’s guide on how to stay informed at a perplexing time of fast-changing news.

Rusbridger was was editor-in-chief of the Guardian from 1995 to 2015, and during his time, the paper won numerous awards, including the 2014 Pulitzer Prize for Public Service Journalism.
He is also the chair of the Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism at Oxford University and a member of Facebook’s Oversight Board.
