WSJ hires Cloud as Middle East correspondent

David Cloud

The Wall Street Journal has tapped David Cloud as its Middle East correspondent.

He will be based in Dubai.

Cloud has previously covered the Pentagon, military and other national issues from the Los Angeles Times Washington bureau. In his 30-year career, Cloud has also worked at the New York Times.

He was also previously with The Wall Street Journal, where he was a member of a team of reporters awarded a 2002 Pulitzer Prize for coverage of the Sept 11, 2001, terror attacks

Cloud is co-author of “The Fourth Star,” which traces the careers and experiences in Iraq of four U.S. officers.
