Thomson Reuters Pro hires legal writer

Andrew Longstreth, a senior writer at The American Lawyer and co-creator of The Am Law Litigation Daily website and newsletter, will join the Thomson Reuters Professional News team as a senior writer for law, effective Monday.

The team is responsible for providing news and analysis tailored to the needs of customers of Thomson Reuters’ legal, tax and accounting, and health care and science businesses.

A highly experienced and award-winning legal reporter and editor, Longstreth has worked at The Lawyer for nearly a decade. He regularly breaks news about litigation and the business of law. His coverage has ranged from exclusives on Foreign Corrupt Bribery Act litigation to an inside report on the workings of David Boies’ law firm.

Previously, Longstreth worked at business publications at Ziff Davis and Time Inc., and before that he was a Fulbright Fellow at the U.S. Information Agency in Senegal, where he researched monetary policy.

The Thomson Reuters Professional News team is led by editorial director Stephen J. Adler, executive editor Amy Stevens, editor for tax & accounting, healthcare & science Howard Goller, and editor for law Eric Effron, to whom Longstreth will report.
