Rubinsky named AP deputy biz editor/newsgathering

Cara Rubinsky, AP’s associate Europe editor, will join the AP business news department as deputy business editor for newsgathering.

She will begin her new role on April 23.

In her new role, she will help produce more impactful and internationally-relevant journalism and drive aggressive spot and enterprise reporting across the globe.

Rubinsky, who joined AP in Connecticut in 2005, will remain in London.

Rubinsky began her AP career as a desk editor and day supervisor in Hartford, Connecticut. She was part of the team that launched the regional desk for the southern U.S. and later served as assistant regional editor for the U.S. South. She spent three years leading the report in the six states of New England.

Rubinsky is a native of Pittsburgh and graduated from Northwestern University with a degree in journalism.
