Roanoke Times changes business columnists

January 8, 2006

The Roanoke Times, which has a scrappy business section in western Virginia, is changing business columnists. Camile Wright Miller, who wrote a workplace column called “Working it Out” for the past 10 years, has apparently joined the management of the newspaper, according to this item. The column is being replaced by John MacIntyre’s “Figuratively Speaking.” The change took effect with today’s paper.

Said business editor Rob Johnson about the new column: “It’s a clever compilation of fascinating statistics and trends from surveys, polls and studies around the world. MacIntyre summarizes the best of this data in a fast-paced tone that’s fun to read and remember. We think you’ll find yourself occasionally quoting his column and maybe clipping it to drop on a colleague’s desk.”
