The deal gives union members a minimum 2.25 percent raise in the first year and minimum 2 percent increases in the following two years, according to an email that the union sent to members.

In addition, workers will receive 12 weeks of parental leave, up from the current six weeks.

Negotiations on the new contract have often been contentious between the union and Reuters. The last contract actually expired in 2014.

Last year, the New York Metropolitan Transportation Authority refused advertising about the negotiations from the union in Grand Central Station.

On Monday, a work-to-rule action at Reuters translated into an hour-long lunch for the company’s journalists.
